Hi again….

Hi again… (Wow! It’s two posts in a matter of days!!)

I figured since I have a bit of internet again I’d pop in and say hi!

I have made a list of all the things in the drawing challenge… so with the time I have nothing to do while I am here (if I have that) I will try to remember to work on those…

…so much for a daily challenge… you have had about two in a month… oops…

Ah, well…now that I am here, I have no idea what to say, so Hi, and Bye!…and I’ll leave you with a(n unfinished) drawing not in the challenge…

Drawn last night when  Reuben Van Dijk (where we are staying at the moment) asked me to draw the bad guy from the poem of Tam Lin…

(ooh, and this is my 90th post, in case you were interested…)

I type this up on Emmas’ ‘lil school computer, offering yet more apologies for the irregularity of my updates. I am currently in Tasmania, but this has not quite sunk in yet, due to the rather rapid decision to come here, so the lack of anticipation that usually precedes this trip.

But, speaking of preceding this trip, I believe there is a bit I have to fill you in on…

As I am at the little computer, I can’t go and check what I last said, so I offer you my best guess at where I was up to. I think I told you of my plans to do a bit of volunteer work at the local primary school, which I did, several days over two weeks there, the weeks before we left for our week in Kyneton. I was in the prep room at school, and while I didn’t do any actual teaching while I was there, it was good to get a bit more experience while I could. I have decided to go back to uni this year and finish the course, as I am now half way through, and would hate to waste the effort I have already put in.

When we headed for Kyneton I did the driving, which puts me quite close to the required hours to go for my driving test, which I hope to do before going back to school this year. We were joined there by Aunty Betty and Uncle Jeff, and Auntie Janice, for the sharing of swimming, canoeing, barbecues, and other necessary holiday activities.

We are at the moment staying with the Ayletts in Ulverstone, and I take this opportunity to apologise for any incoherence in this entry caused by not quite enough sleep on a restless Sunday night on the ferry (our fist time travelling overnight in chairs, rather than a cabin) …

(a lapse of several days)….ah, this is another one getting done in several bits.. as in, when I have the time and inclination to work on it, so the above is now no longer true, and we are currently staying on the block of Uncle Marks’ in Hawley. I was a coffin-bearer at my Nans’ funeral on Thursday, and Mum has just today booked our ticket to go home again (I am now wondering if this’ll be put up before we get there). So we head back to Victoria again the Sunday evening, a week from tomorrow. This time will hopefully be a little calmer than the last.

I realise that this has been very disjointed, and likely quite hard to read, but I wanted to say something after such a break….

Hello!

Starting off with apologies once again for having so long between posts…

..things have even been happening…

Today and yesterday was spent hauling things around… shelves and desks and all the stuff that were in them…

before that we were in Melbourne for a day, in order to drop some of the kids work off at the school.  After which we hit the factory outlets and I got started on my Christmas shopping. Woo!

…and a little bit before that we were in Ballarat, going to the show for Charlottes’ Birthday… Hee, we sound like gadabouts!

.. and in apology for the extended wait I offer you a bonus drawing today…

…I’m still not entirely sure what my favorite animal is (so indecisive) so I offer you my drawing of Charlottes’ favorite animal-

1. yourself

My first offering (a little late)…. I tried to do this several times and was never happy… apparently I just can’t draw myself…but here is my best estimation…

I thought I might do the drawing challenge that Anna has just completed… although my offerings would naturally be far inferior to hers…

In apology for the lack of posts I offer you cute bunnies at a fair…

Back at home again….

Weee! SO that’s it once again for another year!~ One more down, and two to go (provided I end up finishing that course)…

…got all moved out yesterday, and now have to somehow fit all that stuff back into my room at home.. hmm…

So after the mix up with exam times and all, I was left working on my art assignment late again (although fortunately not as late as I was working on the last one)…

So I woke myself up with plenty of time in the morning to go over to the computer room, print off and paste in a few things, then drop it in… well, I gathered up all my stuff early in the morning and headed over to the computer room..

…only to discover, when I got there, that I had left behind the memory stick that had on it the things I needed to print off! So, I dash all the way back across the school to my room to get it, and them back, puffing and panting to the computer room…

Once there again, I discover that I have dropped my student card (kept in a pocket attached to my keys) somewhere on the way, while on my mad dash…

So I make another trip all the way back again ( slightly slower, so as not to miss it) and find it all the way back in the hallway of my house….

So I finally arrive at the computer room, wheezing but with all required equipment to print out and stick in my things..

they are all spread around me as I frantically try to get them in on time, when people come in to tell the people in the computer room I am in that we will need to get out, as there will be an exam in there..

..

So… I gather up journal, bits of cut up pater, scissors, glue bottle, glue dish, glue brush, pens, and three canvases, and move into the room next door to finish my sticking…

Ah, life… and from now on I imagine that I shall have much less interesting things to tell you about, but more time in which to tell them…

Well, this is it. The big one. Zero hour. Todays the day, and all that…

I have my maths exam in about an hour and my last assignment is due at five…

..and then, I guess, I’ll have to start on unpacking my room…

Yesterday, was certainly quite eventful for me…

..and then the fire alarm went of at 12.45 this morning…

eventful, but not particularly enjoyable.. still it’s the first one we’ve had all year.. in the week before we finish…

I was a pot left on the stove, so now the whole house does smell rather strongly of smoke, and is freezing, due to all the open windows….

Eeep! Have just discovered that my Maths Exam is tomorrow… rather than Thursday, as I had initially somehow assumed!! As is my art assignment due then! So this means I have to work on both today… rather than having Wednesday to devote to studying for the exam, as I thought I would!

…quiet breakdown….

Good morning/night…

Well, that was interesting…

If someone where to do my art class next year I could tell them that assignment 1 takes about 24 hours to complete, give or take.

Yep, after 2 years at uni I have just undertaken that hallowed tradition whereby one ‘pulls an all nighter’ in order to get todays assignment done on time…

..as you may have guessed, I rather underestimated the amount I still had to do.. why did I not start it sooner? (I’ll tell you why- because I was working on the other one that’s due next week)

…and, as I said it was quite an experience… I was doing alright till about 1.20.. when I went for some chickory… then at 2.30 I decided that I would grab 3 hours sleep then get back to it… so I hopped into bed, but, as I do, it takes me ages to get to sleep, so I told myself that if I wasn’t asleep by 2.45 I would give up and go back to it…

and at this point I either had a time confusion, and 15 minutes lying in bed, or one solid hours sleep without being aware of it at all… because I looked and thought- ok, it’s 3.45, I’ll go back to it.. then- wait I thought it was half past 2, not half past three…. I’m still not entirely sure was the case… which is a little worrying…

…what else is worrying is that now I am tucked back up in bed  I do not feel sleepy at all.. I know I need to sleep, but don’t feel tiered….

(I am quite likely rambling though..but it makes sense to me at the minute)

On the upside- I saw baby bunnies on my way over there and back. And I now have one less assignment to do.

On the downside- My room is a mess. And I have the urge to eat all the food I have….

.. I am currently tucked in here with with cereal, yogurt, some leftover apply-berry-pie-ish thing and lolly bananas…
