I type this up on Emmas’ ‘lil school computer, offering yet more apologies for the irregularity of my updates. I am currently in Tasmania, but this has not quite sunk in yet, due to the rather rapid decision to come here, so the lack of anticipation that usually precedes this trip.

But, speaking of preceding this trip, I believe there is a bit I have to fill you in on…

As I am at the little computer, I can’t go and check what I last said, so I offer you my best guess at where I was up to. I think I told you of my plans to do a bit of volunteer work at the local primary school, which I did, several days over two weeks there, the weeks before we left for our week in Kyneton. I was in the prep room at school, and while I didn’t do any actual teaching while I was there, it was good to get a bit more experience while I could. I have decided to go back to uni this year and finish the course, as I am now half way through, and would hate to waste the effort I have already put in.

When we headed for Kyneton I did the driving, which puts me quite close to the required hours to go for my driving test, which I hope to do before going back to school this year. We were joined there by Aunty Betty and Uncle Jeff, and Auntie Janice, for the sharing of swimming, canoeing, barbecues, and other necessary holiday activities.

We are at the moment staying with the Ayletts in Ulverstone, and I take this opportunity to apologise for any incoherence in this entry caused by not quite enough sleep on a restless Sunday night on the ferry (our fist time travelling overnight in chairs, rather than a cabin) …

(a lapse of several days)….ah, this is another one getting done in several bits.. as in, when I have the time and inclination to work on it, so the above is now no longer true, and we are currently staying on the block of Uncle Marks’ in Hawley. I was a coffin-bearer at my Nans’ funeral on Thursday, and Mum has just today booked our ticket to go home again (I am now wondering if this’ll be put up before we get there). So we head back to Victoria again the Sunday evening, a week from tomorrow. This time will hopefully be a little calmer than the last.

I realise that this has been very disjointed, and likely quite hard to read, but I wanted to say something after such a break….

Sad that I didn’t get to see you while you’re here… I must come over to you one day soon!
